Advanced Micro Robotics

The Mobile Robotics Platform consists of a flexible high powered controller on a robust aluminum platform. This rugged platform is built to take a beating with a 3/8” thick plate of aluminum in its base with two 1.6 HP DC Motors strong enough to move extra heavy loads with power to spare. The platform is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate a wide variety of applications from people movers, remote control tables and heavy duty towing. Its 12.75” diameter nonmarking heavy tread tires allow it to be used both indoors and outdoors.

It can be driven via its on board analog joystick, via remote control using a standard RC controller, or using a wireless PC. You can write your own programs to drive the unit on your own predetermined path.

This platform can accommodate ANY standard 2” diameter office chair column and office chair seat. You can swap just about any office chair right onto this unit in a matter of minutes. (Most office chairs will come off their column with a few quick raps of a hammer to the bottom of the chair.) Or go to Office Depot and buy your favorite office chair and just insert the column and the seat top into the unit and you are off an running.

You can also choose to have no office chair on this unit and use it for other applications. The top plate of this unit is 22 inches in diameter with a matrix  ¼-20” thread holes placed every square inch. You can easily mount anything to the top of the unit in minutes including standard Newport optical bench equipment.
